My name is Scott Reinbolt and I'm a traditional sign painter based in Hillsboro, OH. All of my signs are hand lettered using high quality enamel paint, no vinyl or stickers!
A hand lettered sign says a lot about your business. A custom, hand lettered sign tells your customers you are a stable, detail oriented business that values traditional craftsmanship. What does a faded vinyl sign say about your business? What do peeling stickers tell your customers?
I'm a sole proprietorship: no sales people or middlemen. I'll work with you to design a sign you can be proud of. Prices are reasonable, and no job is too small: I letter everything from mailboxes to semi-trucks!

YOU MAY HAVE AN OLD HAND LETTERED SIGN THAT HAS BECOME FADED OR WORN OVER THE DECADES.
SINCE I HAND LETTER SIGNS, I CAN RESTORE THOSE SIGNS USING THE SAME TECHNIQUES USED WHEN THEY WERE ORIGINALLY MADE.
Each sign is unique, and the price you pay is based upon the complexity of the job. For example, one color mailbox lettering runs about $50 for both sides, while truck lettering starts at $75 per door for one color lettering with no outline or shadowing.
Price is also impacted by the material the sign is painted on. For trucks, there is no material cost as the sign is being painted onto the truck itself. Free standing signs are painted on hardboard, composite plywood (MDO) or aluminum. Hardboard is suitable for indoor signs or temporary outdoor signs and is the least expensive sign material. Composite plywood has been used as sign material for decades and can be used for indoor or outdoor applications. It is a medium price-point material. Aluminum is the highest quality sign material and therefore has the highest cost.
Your cost is also impacted by where I do the work. Work done in my shop is generally less expensive than work done in the field, as I have no travel time or expense.
I can also mount your sign or you can do it yourself. If I mount the sign, your cost will include any posts, framing, hardware and necessary labor.
